In Office 365 updates are applied periodically. If updates are to take place, all the open Applications have to be closed. So In case a User is working on an application, he/she needs to be notified before updates occur.
Normally a User is given a notification every 2 hours starting from 12 hours before the deadline. And once the deadline is reached, the User is given a 15 minute warning before Office is restarted. This is done so that the User can save their work before the Application closes.
In order to apply or set a deadline, one can either use Group Policy or the Configuration file from the Office Deployment Tool. If a Deadline is applied to both of them, then the Group Policy takes precedence.

Office 365 Video is one of the newer applications released for the Office 365 Suite. It is basically modeled in the form of Youtube. One can create channels and upload videos on to that. Videos which are popular among the viewers are listed under the Trending Category. Apart from this it has got an Integration with Yammer as well. It can also report statistics for a video. It can show graphs regarding the views which the video has got in recent months.
Microsoft uses the Click-to-run Technology for deploying Office 365 Applications on a Computer. One of the main features of Click-To-Run Technology is that a User can begin working on an Application even before it is fully downloaded something which is not possible with the traditional MSI (Windows Installer) Model. It is similar to streaming content on YouTube. One does not wait for the whole video to download before viewing it. A user can start watching the Video even if it is still downloading.
Applications deployed using the Click-To-Run Technology require the Internet for Activation. It cannot be deployed on Shared Computers using Remote Desktop Services or on Windows To Go Usb Devices.
