Have you ever tried determining the age of a person in a picture out of curiosity? We might be able to guess sometimes and we may sometimes not. Due to changes in lifestyle sometimes it is hard to determine the age. People who are in their 20’s, if they put on weight may appear to be in their 40’s and at the same time people in their 40’s 50’s or even 60’s, if they are able to maintain themselves may appear to be in their 30’s!
Now we have tools to determine just that. Amazon and Microsoft have come up with their own tools to determine the age. It uses facial recognition technology to do this. Both of them are free to use. For Amazon, you need to have an Amazon Web Service Account to check it out. Please keep in mind that when you are creating the account, it would ask for your credit card details and then it would charge you a $1. Note that this $1 is not essentially a charge per se but just to verify whether your credit card Information is valid, it is $1 hold.
One would not have to create an account with Microsoft in order to use their feature. The outputs of the two tools appear to be different with respect to the way they display their content. Microsoft tries to give a number which might be the possible age whereas Amazon gives a range which the person’s age might fall into.
Feel free to check them out!
