With the Increase in network security creating passwords for an account have become more complicated. Most of the web applications or websites require at least 8 characters with a minimum of one uppercase and lower case letter and many more never ending criteria.
Fortunately our browsers have become smarter in the sense that they act like a password manager. Once you login to your account, the browser would prompt you whether you would like to save the password or not. This saves a lot of time in entering your credentials whenever you log in to an application and the headache of remembering passwords.
But what if you need to manage more than one account that logs Into the same website? As you have seen a browser can manage only one set of credentials for a website. For Instance if you have a personal account and a work account for a website. Every time you login you would have to enter the credentials from one of your accounts which tends to become quite Inconvenient.
Google Chrome has a solution for this kind of problem, it is called profiles. One can create as many profiles in Google Chrome. Each profile can manage their own bookmarks, history and credentials. Which essentially means that there is no overlap between any two profiles.
In order to create a profile, one would have to follow these steps-
- Click on your account on the top right hand corner.
- And select Manage People
3. This would take you to a window that shows you the existing profiles. Now click on Add Person
4. Enter a name for the account and click on Save. This would now create a Desktop Shortcut which gives you access to your new profile.
